About N. Elizabeth Fried, Ph.D.

    Dr. N. Elizabeth Fried, author, consultant, and executive coach, is president of N. E. Fried and Associates, Inc. Named in 2012 for the third year running,  as one of the world's top 15 most influential executive coaches by Coaching
     Gurus.  Her firm was named by The San Diego Business Journal’s 2016 through 2020 Book of Lists as among the top 12 Executive Training Companies.   Additionally, Dr. Fried was nominated in 2015 and again in 2016 (where she was among four finalists) in the category of “Lifetime Legacy” for The Women of Influence Award and recognized by the California Senate and Legislature and Board of Equalization. She is author of over two dozen technical articles, two books (one a Society of HR Management bestseller, which has been used as a supplemental text in HR graduate programs), and has contributed chapters to Extreme Excellence (2008) and Coaching for Success (2009).  In 2015 she authored the e-book, Earning Your Seat at the Table:  Guidelines for Executive Presence, and offers presentations and workshops on the topic.  
    A vibrant and entertaining speaker, she regularly addresses audiences on a variety of human resources topics, including executive coaching, hiring practices, career development, and sexual harassment. From 1983 to 2001, Fried conducted compensation research on a national scale and was quoted widely in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report, Ms., Business Week, and Fortune Magazine. A prolific writer, she frequently contributed to professional journals and trade publications, which featured her research on secretarial grading practices, on-call pay, and retention (stay) bonuses designed to retain key people during acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and special IT projects, such as Year 2000 or SAP. She has published more than 50 professional articles, most recently evaluating performance management software in an article entitled, "360 Degree Software Shootout: Comparing Features With Need," for HRMagazine Focus on Technology Supplement and an update with more product comparisons for IPMA NEWS Additionally, she co-authored the WorldatWork's Building Blocks in Total Compensation titled "Developing Statistical Job Evaluation Models: An Approach to Building a Job-Worth Hierarchy."


    Fried is served a 2--year term on the board the San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance as President.  Her prior board positions were  VP of Marketing and Board Member at Large.  She also taught a certification seminar for the WorldatWork  on job analysis, job documentation, and job evaluation.  She served as adjunct faculty at the University of California - San Diego, where she offered a course on assessment tools. Fried has also taught continuing education courses in compensation at Lehigh University and served as adjunct faculty at Franklin University from 1979 to 1986, where she taught a course in wage and salary administration. She also co-developed and facilitated sessions on 360 degree feedback, teambuilding, and communication for The Center for Leadership, a five-day premier program offered through the Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and California CPA Societies.

Alan Abeles

Alan Abeles BPG photo colorAlan is a senior executive coach and leadership development consultant with more than 25 years of experience with regional, national and global organizations.  His practice areas include leadership team alignment, individual and organizational leadership assessment and development, executive coaching and succession planning.  He has worked with Presidents, CEOs and other C-level leaders in client organizations ranging from privately held professional services firms to Fortune 100 companies to early-stage enterprises.  Alan has consulted across a wide range of industries, including financial services, professional services, higher education, technology, healthcare, biotechnology, legal services, and entertainment.  Alan also has extensive international experience, having consulted with, facilitated and coached leaders and teams in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia.

Ann J. Ewen, Ph.D.

Anne Miller, MBA Equivalent (Sloan Fellow)

 Anne Miller is best known for her action-oriented with the key premise that it is far easier to act your way into a new way of thinking than to think your way into a new way of acting.  She is distinguished by her ability to assist individuals and multi-cultural teams achieve step changes in performance while advancing their leadership capability faster than many others.  She skillfully helps them design new futures and then build the behaviors and working practices to realize those futures.  Anne typically combines 360 feedback, peer feed forward processes and behavioral assessments in her coaching process.  For teams she has developed the Action LabÔ to address the integration of accelerated results and leadership development.  She is committed to leaving her clients more capable to sustain achieving the futures they desire.

Eric Kaufmann, CMC

Eric Kaufmann draws on two decades of successful experience in sales, management, and training for companies such as 3M/Lanier and Corning Clinical Laboratories. Jan Thompson, PCC

Janyne Peek Emsick, Ph.D.
